Condo Movers in Bradenton, FL
In a condo, the building decides when you move, which elevator you use and what paperwork the crew needs before it touches the lobby door. Miss one of those and the truck sits at the curb. Call +1 (941) 392-6022. Bradenton Mover Line connects you with an independent mover for condo moves across Manatee County.
That covers the towers downtown near the Riverwalk, the mid-rise buildings on Perico Island and around Palma Sola Bay, and the golf communities east of I-75. Here’s what your association will ask for, what condo movers Bradenton owners hire will charge and who pays if a wall gets scraped.

What Do Condo Moving Services Include, and What Makes a Condo Move Different?
Condo moving services include the same crew, truck and equipment as a house move, plus the steps a shared building demands:
- Padding for the elevator cab, door frames and hallway corners
- Floor runners from the unit door to the elevator
- A certificate of insurance sent to the association before move day
- Taking beds, tables and sectionals apart so they fit the elevator
- Carrying everything from the truck through a lobby, a hallway or a garage
- Working inside the time window the building gives you
Three things set a condo move apart. You share the route with neighbors. The association has rules, and it can turn a crew away for breaking them. And damage to a hallway isn’t only your problem. It belongs to every owner in the building.

What Should You Arrange With Your Condo Association Before Moving Day?
Ask the property manager for the building’s move-in sheet at least two weeks ahead. If there isn’t one, ask these questions and write down the answers:
- Which days and hours are moves allowed?
- Is there a service elevator, and how do you reserve it?
- Where does the truck park, and is there a height limit at the garage or loading area?
- Does the mover have to send a certificate of insurance? To whom, and by when?
- Is there a fee or a deposit?
- Does the gate or front desk need the mover’s name in advance?
Send the answers to the mover the same day. A crew that knows the window is 9 to 1 plans a different day than one that finds out at the door.
What Is a Certificate of Insurance, and Does Your Condo Require One?
A certificate of insurance, or COI, is a one-page form from the mover’s insurance agent. It lists the mover’s liability, auto and workers’ compensation coverage, and it names your association as a party protected by the policy.
Many condo buildings require one. Olympia Moving’s 2026 building guide says $1 million in general liability is common and that high-end buildings can ask for $2 million or more. The same guide allows three to five business days to get one issued.
The form is free. What trips people up is the wording. Ask the manager for the exact name and address the certificate must show, then pass it on word for word. Not all condo moving companies carry the limits a tower asks for, so settle this before you pay a deposit.
Who Pays the Move-In Fee or Elevator Deposit?
You do, not the mover. A deposit is refundable if nothing is damaged. A fee is not.
Florida law limits some of these charges. For approving a sale or a lease, a condo association may charge a transfer fee of up to $150 per applicant, a cap the Legislature raised in 2021 and tied to inflation. That figure comes from the Florida Senate’s summary of the bill.
A damage deposit from a tenant is a separate thing. Attorneys at Becker, a Florida law firm, wrote that it must be allowed by the condo documents, can’t exceed one month’s rent and goes back to the tenant if no damage occurred.
If a charge looks high, ask the manager which section of the documents allows it. This page is not legal advice.
How Much Do Condo Movers Cost in Bradenton, FL?
The hourly rate is the same as for any local move. moveBuddha’s Bradenton page, dated September 2026, puts the average at $116 per hour.
| Unit size | Average local cost |
|---|---|
| Studio | $441 |
| 1 bedroom | $604 |
| 2 bedrooms | $962 |
| 3 bedrooms | $2,194 |
These are area averages, not quotes. A condo move runs longer than the same-size house move for reasons that have nothing to do with the crew:
- Elevator trips. Every load waits for the cab. HireAHelper’s 2026 crew guide says a shared elevator can add a lot of time.
- Elevator fees. moveBuddha lists $50 to $100.
- The carry. Charges apply when the truck sits more than 75 feet from the door, according to moveBuddha.
- The window. A four-hour slot can mean a bigger crew to finish on time.
Ask the condo movers Bradenton buildings have seen before how long a unit your size took them. A mover who has worked in your building knows its elevator.
Will Your Furniture Fit in the Elevator?
Measure before move day, not during it. You need five numbers: the door’s width and height, and the cab’s width, depth and height.
Federal accessibility rules give a floor for newer buildings. The U.S. Access Board’s guide lists a minimum new passenger cab of 68 inches wide and 51 inches deep with a 36-inch door. Older buildings can be smaller than that.
Long pieces ride standing on end. If a sofa is shorter than the cab is tall, it fits. An 84-inch sofa stands up in a cab with an 8-foot ceiling. A 100-inch sofa doesn’t.
| Piece | What to check |
|---|---|
| Sofa | Length against cab height |
| King box spring | Order a split one if the cab is short |
| Sectional | Unclip the sections |
| Dining table | Take the legs off and carry the top on edge |
| Piano or safe | The weight limit on the elevator’s plate |
When a piece won’t fit, the choices are the stairs, a hoist over the balcony or leaving it behind. Find out which one applies before you’re standing in the lobby with it.
Who Pays if the Lobby, Hallway or Elevator Is Damaged?
The association looks to the unit owner first. Under Florida Statute 718.111(11)(j), an owner is responsible for the cost of repairing condominium property damaged through negligence by the owner, a tenant or a guest, to the extent insurance doesn’t pay. Jimerson Birr, a Florida law firm, summarizes the rule that way.
So the owner pays the association, then turns to the mover. This is the reason buildings ask for a certificate of insurance. The mover’s liability policy is what covers a gouged wall or a cracked lobby tile.
Don’t mix this up with valuation. Valuation covers your own furniture, at a Florida minimum of 60 cents per pound. It doesn’t pay for the building.
Protect yourself with a short routine:
- Walk the route with the manager before the crew starts, and photograph the elevator, the hallway and the lobby floor
- Check that the pads are up before the first piece moves
- Report any mark right away, to the crew leader and the manager
- Get it in writing on the mover’s paperwork before the truck leaves
What Changes for a Condo Move on Longboat Key or Anna Maria Island?
The bridges and the season. Building rules on the islands are stricter too.
Under a Coast Guard rule published in April 2025, the Anna Maria Island Bridge and the Cortez Bridge open for boats at a quarter past and a quarter to the hour, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work on a replacement for the Cortez Bridge began in September 2026, so allow extra time on Cortez Road.
Longboat Key has one road and a drawbridge at each end. From January through April, a truck that isn’t on the island by 8 a.m. spends paid time in traffic.
Ask island buildings one more question: are moves limited during the winter season? Details are on the pages for Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key.

More Questions About Condo Moves in Bradenton
Can movers handle high-rise buildings?
Yes. A tower takes more planning than muscle: a reserved service elevator, a certificate on file and a crew sized to the window.
Tell the mover the floor number and how far the elevator is from the loading area. Some condo moving companies send a larger crew to a high floor so one person can stay with the elevator.
Can movers book the elevator for you?
No. The association takes that request from the owner or the tenant. What the mover gives you is an arrival window and the certificate.
Reserve the elevator first, then confirm the mover for that slot. Doing it the other way round is how people end up with a crew and no elevator.
How early should you book condo movers?
Four to six weeks ahead from October through April, and six to eight weeks for summer, according to moveBuddha. Add time for the building. The certificate can take up to five business days, and elevator calendars fill fast in season.
The condo movers Bradenton owners want for a Saturday are the first to book up. A Tuesday or Wednesday is easier to get and costs less.
Can you arrange a condo move while you are away for the season?
Yes. Email the manager your permission in writing, name one person to open the unit and ask the mover for a video survey.
Ask for photos of each room before and after. The condo movers Bradenton seasonal owners use can work with a manager or a home watch service in your place.
