Get a Free Moving Quote in Bradenton: One Call to a Local Mover

Call +1 (941) 392-6022 to get a quote from an independent mover in Manatee County. Bradenton Mover Line connects your call. The mover asks about your home, then gives you a written estimate. Many movers don’t charge for the estimate, but ask before a survey is booked.

Have five minutes and the details below, and the first call goes faster.

Calls may be recorded. We may be paid when we connect your call. You pay us nothing.

How Does a Free Quote Work Here?

Three steps, and only one of them is ours.

  1. You call +1 (941) 392-6022. Say where you’re moving from and to, and when.
  2. The line connects you with a mover. It’s an independent company you can look up by its state registration number.
  3. The mover quotes the job. A rough number can come on the phone. The written estimate comes after it sees your things, in person or on a video walkthrough.

Bradenton Mover Line moves nothing and gives no prices. Every moving quote Bradenton callers get comes from the mover, and the mover answers for it.

What Should You Have Ready Before You Call?

The more the mover knows, the closer the quote lands to the final bill.

DetailWhy the mover asks
Both addressesDistance, travel time and whether it’s a local or interstate move
Your date, plus a backupWeekends, month’s end and summer cost more
Home size and roomsSets the crew size and the truck
Stairs, elevators and parkingStair fees, elevator bookings and long carries
Heavy piecesPianos, safes, pool tables and hot tubs are priced on their own
Packing help wantedPacking labor and supplies are separate lines
Storage needsA gap between homes adds storage and a second trip

Local details count. Say if the new place is on Anna Maria Island or Longboat Key, where a full-size truck may not reach the door. Say if it’s in a gated Lakewood Ranch village or a condo that needs a certificate of insurance.

What Should the Written Estimate Show?

Florida law spells it out. Section 507.05 requires a written estimate and contract before any work starts, signed and dated. It should show:

  • The mover’s name, phone number and address
  • The pickup and delivery dates
  • Both addresses, plus any storage location
  • An itemized list of charges and a total cost
  • The forms of payment the mover accepts

Florida movers must accept at least two of three: cash or money order, a personal check or a credit card. If the estimate is missing any of these, ask for a corrected copy before you sign.

For a move to another state, the mover also gives you the federal booklet “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move.” A non-binding interstate estimate can’t be exceeded by more than 10% at delivery, the FMCSA says.

How Do You Compare Quotes?

Line up each moving quote Bradenton movers send you by the same items, not just the total. A quote that skips stairs or travel time looks cheaper until moving day.

  • Crew size and truck
  • Hourly rate or flat price
  • Minimum hours and travel fee
  • Stairs, long carry and shuttle
  • Packing and supplies
  • Coverage, which starts at Florida’s minimum of 60 cents per pound per item
  • Deposit and cancellation terms

For a benchmark, moveBuddha puts two movers and a truck locally at about $116 an hour, and a two-bedroom move at about $962. Full breakdowns are on our moving cost page.

Which Quotes Should You Walk Away From?

The FMCSA lists red flags to watch for. The ones that show up at the quote stage:

  • A firm price by phone or online without seeing your home
  • No written estimate, or “we’ll price it after we load”
  • A demand for cash or a large deposit
  • Blank or half-filled forms to sign
  • No local address, registration or insurance details

Florida’s 2024 Senate bill analysis names one more: a quote far below the others, followed by a much higher price at the truck. Check every mover on our verify a mover page.

When Should You Ask for a Quote?

Earlier in summer. moveBuddha suggests booking a local move four to six weeks ahead from October through April, and six to eight weeks ahead in summer. A long-distance move needs more lead time.

Same-day help exists too, at a premium. See same-day movers.

Questions About Getting a Quote

Is the Quote Really Free?

The call is free. Many movers give estimates at no charge, but it’s their policy, not ours. Ask before a crew or estimator comes to the house.

How Long Does It Take to Get a Quote?

A phone estimate can take a few minutes. A video walkthrough takes as long as it takes to show every room, closet and the garage. The written estimate follows.

Will My Information Be Shared?

Calls may be recorded. Your call goes to the mover you’re connected with, so it can quote the job. See our privacy policy for details.

Can I Get a Quote for Just a Few Items?

Yes. Small jobs have a minimum, two hours with many movers. See small moves.
